Benjamin Katz is a Technical Project Manager based in Vancouver BC.
In 2017, Katz enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computing Science at Simon Fraser University. While completing his studies,
he joined Plastic Bank as a UI/UX Designer and was involved in the development of their digital platform.
He managed agile development sprints, conducted user testing, and designed high-fidelity prototypes for
major partners, such as Henkel and SC Johnson. Under his leadership, the product design team grew from two
contributors to a global team of ten.
Katz's work at Plastic Bank has had a significant impact on the environment and communities in need. The
digital platform he helped develop has prevented over a billion bottles of plastic from entering the ocean
and provided a valuable source of income for individuals living in poverty. Currently, he maintains a technical project management role at Plastic Bank, offers
contract-based web development and design services, and is the creator of "Print for Figma," a
product that enables the creation of print documents inside the design software, Figma. In his free time, he enjoys exploring
the natural beauty of British Columbia, producing electronic music, and cooking for the loved ones in his life.
